WHIRLWINDS!!
We have taken part in various tournaments over the last 2 months
and had some encouraging results, under 13's reached the quarter
finals at Idle but unfortunaly could quite make it to the final
round, losing 2-1.
We have reports of some freak weather at a couple of tournaments,
first was at Otly where Andy Steele of under 8's repported a 'whirlwind'
wich damaged his gazeebo, then we had more 'whirlwinds' at Idle
and have the evidence below!!

Did you see them? ........Were they cool?
Well,
the dad's tournament took place last Saturday. Not too sure if
they were 'cool' but it turned out to be an excellent days entertainment
despite the weather. Six teams played a league competition with
the top four teams going through to the playoffs. Allan had the
barbeque going all day with the delicious bacon butties, burgers
and hotdogs. Judith & Aimee were kept busy with the drinks
and sweets etc and also had on sale the new, must have, Sutton
Juniors car sticker.
Below are the winners, captained by Craig Child. Congratulations
guys.

changes.
Regular visitors to this site will have noticed a few changes
to the menu buttons on the left.
The latest additions are the SJFC forum, the gallery and some
very important club rules. All should be up and running shortly.
I'm hoping some of you out there know how the forum works, this
could be a very useful feature if used correctly. We'll see how
it goes, I have a feeling I might need to provide a few instructions.
The gallery should soon have a few photo's in there, if anyone
has any others they would like to put on please email them to
me.
The club rules, well we have to have rules, so we now have a page
where you can look and learn them...everyone.
A few other items may have moved slightly but i'm sure you'll
soon find them, any problems then just email me and I will do
my best to point you in the right direction. e-mail

Thank you Richard...Welcome Angus
We are sad to let you know that Richard,
who trains the Under 10's has decided to take a break and hand the
job over to Angus Rushton. Richard has been with the club for the
last 3 years and has been a valuable member of both the coaching
staff and the comittee. He was responsible for setting up this website
a few years ago and has been an active member at the parties and
functions we have held over the past few years. We wish him well
for the future. Angus has kindly stepped in to take over the running
of the under 10's and we're sure he can continue where Richard left
off to develop the players over the coming years, we welcome him
to the club and look forward to working with him over the coming
years.

A date for your diary......Saturday 14th July

This is the preliminary date for the Sutton
Juniors Presentation Evening. Please can all members be on
the lookout for any unwanted Christmas gifts that can be used as
tombola and raffle prizes. Phil Naylor has a few storage spaces
left in his bedroom so please be generous and let your managers
know if you have anything suitable. Watch this space for more details
shortly.

The date for this years Christmas party is....Saturday
2nd December. Members will have received an e-mail from club
secretary, David Walker. The forms should be returned to David as
soon as possible please. Anyone who has not yet registered as a
member should do so immediatly if they want to be part of the festivities,
see your manager for details.
NOTE : There is a closing date for
applications, this is 25th November, get the forms back asap.
